TIPS : Tax reform 2024 in Japan
The 2024 tax reform in Japan provides a ¥30,000 deduction from withholding tax per person. To qualify for this deduction, you must be a resident in Japan and meet the necessary requirements. Starting from June, you can deduct ¥30,000 for each eligible individual if you have their filing sheets. Keep in mind that this ¥30,000 deduction applies for one year.
